*** CHANGE OF RALLY ROUND DATE ***
Due to the Federal Election being held on Saturday 21 August the Huon Rally, the 3rd round of the State Rally Series has been postponed for one week to Saturday 28 August.
The organisers regret making this change but due to expected losses of a large number of officials because of election commitments they had no alternative.
Stewards Course now 3rd October
This course is designed to give junior stewards a good working overview of the stewards role as well as an opportunity for other grades of stewards to share experiences. Advancement to bronze steward level requires completion of this course.
The module will now be conducted on Sunday 3rd October.

FIRE AND RESCUE VEHICLE PROJECT
The project is continuing with the recent purchase of 2 fire pump units to be mounted in our two vehicles. Tank world has donated water tanks for each of the vehicles and other organisations are supporting the project through direct donation or highly discounted items.
We sincerely thank Matthew Springer and his team at Tank World for their generous contribution to the project. We also thank Nick Osborne at Hobart Plant Hire for providing high quality blower vacs at highly discounted prices. Last but not least at this stage thanks to Stephen Caplice at Fogarty Automotive for checking out and making minor adjustments to our Mitsubishi Triton vehicle.
We have arranged for a professional fire fighting organisation to install tanks and pumps and are scheduling fitting out of the Triton after the Symmons Plains meeting on 22 August.
We are expecting that both vehicles will be at Symmons Plains on the 22nd August for the use of our fire team. The vehicles will not be painted in our proposed colour scheme until the public launch on October 16 at the Baskerville Historic Race meeting.
